Come meet Tom, talk about the issues that matter to our community, ask questions, and spend some time with neighbors. The suggested donation is $50, but all are welcome. You do not need to make a contribution to attend. We want everyone who is interested in Tom, his campaign, and the future of Takoma Park to feel welcome at the table.
Takoma Park Nominating Caucus
Democracy, Takoma Park Style
The Nominating Caucus is one of Takoma Park’s great democratic traditions. Instead of candidates simply putting their own names on the ballot, neighbors gather together and nominate the people they want to represent them.
On Tuesday, September 15 at 7:30 PM, Tom Gagliardo will be at the Takoma Park Community Center to be formally nominated for Mayor. Come be part of a Takoma Park tradition that puts democracy where it belongs: in the hands of our neighbors and our community.
Whether you have lived here for decades or are experiencing your first Takoma Park election, come see local democracy in action and help us celebrate Tom’s nomination for Mayor.

The Folk Festival is one of Maryland’s oldest recurring folk festivals, bringing our community together for a full day of music, arts, crafts and community.
Come for the music. Stay for the neighbors. Meet Tom along the way.

It’ll be an informal evening with neighbors, conversation, and a chance to get to know Tom a little better.
